Volunteer and Intern

Volunteer or Intern at the Centro Library & Archives

Volunteer

Sharing your skills, talents, and experiences as a volunteer is one of the most appreciated gifts you can make to Centro. Throughout the years, the Library and Archives has benefited from the contributions of a number of special individuals who have been willing to give of their time and expertise to help us achieve our goals. Their discipline, commitment, willingness, and generosity have proven to be as valuable as any monetary contribution. Our volunteers come from all walks of life and have worked on a variety of archival and library projects.

Intern

The Centro Library & Archives welcome students who are interested in gaining experience doing archival work, including processing collections, working with digital collections, metadata creation, and other archival focused tasks. We also welcome students interested in translating and/or transcribing. Students can get academic credit for internships at Centro.

If you are interested in volunteering or interning, please contact the Library & Archives Reference Services at 212-396-7874.
