About this book
This almanac is a compendium of demographic, economic and social data about the Puerto Rican population in the United States. It compares conditions among Puerto Ricans in selected states with those of Puerto Ricans nationally and Puerto Rico, using aggregate data from the United States Census Bureau’s American Community Survey for 2014, one-year estimates. The information presented spans the range from educational attainment, language proficiency, labor force participation, earnings and income, purchasing power, poverty and housing. The almanac further provides visual representation of Puerto Rican settlement by mapping their spatial location nationally and selected states.
