Puerto Rican Population Grows 2% in 2015

The Puerto Rican population grew in the U.S. from 5.2 million in 2014 to 5.3 million in 2015. Recently released data from the 2015 American Community Survey showed Puerto Ricans (2%) and Latinos overall (2.2%) were among the fastest growing population groups in the United States, compared to non-Hispanic blacks (0.84%), non-Hispanic whites (0.06%), and the total U.S. population (0.80%).
